Hawk Bill Bali?

sorry, i got cut off on my last post. anyway, I was thinking, "wouldn't it be cool to have a hawkbill balisong?" I really like the blade profile on the harpy:D. If Spyderco ever got around to making a balisong, it would be VERY interesting if they offered different and unique blade profiles. Unfortunately, this is probably wishful thinking......:(
 
To get a true, strongly curved hawkbill blade the handles would have to be curved, like the Szabo/Perrin balisong. The one Gollnick has is set inside the handles of a 42, it looks a lot more like a mariner blade than a hawkbill, though there is curvature to the edge. BTW, Gollnick's is a double edged, talonite "Hawkbill" made by Mr. Simonich (sp?). :D
 
So the hawkbill would be nifty, but on a EDC bali, the deep belly Bowie would still be the favorite?
 
And which new Balisong designs are there we wouldn't like?? :)

Kind of makes you wonder why more companys dont get into the bidding. Bali fans are so rabid they will take anything you give them, except maybe:

A balisword with 2 foot handles and a 3 inch blade
A balisword with 3 inch handles and a 2 foot blade
A knife with celluloid handles and a bear mgc damascus blade
The coolest, most awesome balisong in the world for $120 but with a 20 yr wait (that would pretty much kill us all).

As you can tell by that last bit there, I want my tachyon! Maybe microtech will have a hawkbill or a mariner as a blade option?
