Hawk Carry laws

Hey, I'm new to the fourms, and I'm sure that this question in common knowledge, but hey, this is what fourms are for, right? well anyways, i was wondering if there was any way around, (specifically Texas's ) carry laws on tomahawks? even in your vehicle? anyhow, any info would be appreciated,

Can't speak for Texas but Illinois laws are very murky. I don't carry any deadly weapons but I have been known to carry some pretty sharp tools. Nobody thinks anything of it in my part of the state.
There is a hatchet inside the cab my pickup, along with a dog, some fencing pliers, crescent wrench, leather gloves, etc...

I am willing to say that if you own a truck and have a tool box w/lock in the bed then having a tomahawk might be overlooked. Depending on where in TX you live. I don't own a truck and I have never been searched in a truck. Rural cops will understand more then the urban cops will...

If you were going to carry a hawk I would have one that looks as axe like as possible . In this regards it will look like a tool . There are a few hawks with hammer polls on them . The one I have looks like an axe back . Its handier around camp too .Because it looks like a tool you can have a reason for carrying it . I wouldn,t walk into any bars with it though .I hope you get the specific answer you need .
