Hi Gents

I want to buy a rifleman's hawk from CS but i dont know there quality.
i live in South Africa and do a lot of hunting so i need someting that will be good around camp, chopping carcasses and a bit of throwing the hawk must be sturdy because we have a lot of hardwood trees around here.
If you have something else available please let me know where to buy it from.

Thank you
Carl (S.A.)

The only CS hawk I have handled was pretty unimpressive. Take a look at:
ragweedforge.com he has lots of hawks including the CS modelsbut some others that look much better IMO.

i own a CS trail hawk, good for camp chores. as a thrower the hammer poll offsets the balance IMHO. good for driving stakes, woodworking, light skinning and meat cutting. i have several CS products i use often, and like their products for the price overall.
my only other true hawk is a Hudson Bay throwing hawk from Crazy Crow Co. a great throwing hawk, but their handles are pretty cheap. definately check Ragweed Forge, they have good stuff. you get what you pay for.

Have had 2 CS hawks. Rifleman's Hawk was poor quality; poll crooked. Trail Hawk much better, lighter and easier to use. Get extra handles from CS. Estwing Camp Axe and Ontario Spax are also useful.

I have a riflemans hawk it came good and I think its great but the trail is lighter and doesnt strain arm after alot of work/throwing.
