Wanted to do this for quite some time.
This is a profiled stock removal Hawk I am working on in 10" long 1/4" S5 Shock steel. Laid the handle on top for reference. Handle is a piece of Acetal rod that will get a piece of pipe slipped over the end for the Hawk head to mortised into.

Not quite sure what grind to use on this one...maybe Convex... Hollow grind like I said not sure yet. This will be a fighter so it will be ground on all sides.

Any legitimate hawk maker out there Feel free to chime in with some words of wisdom;)

Looks like that would be one mean hawk! I'd go with a convex grind, as it would still be a chopper. I wouldn't want to be the one that had to grind all those surfaces though!

Youre right! Why not make the first one you do, one of the most complicated grinds you can think of. Should be interesting...some of those little hooks may dissapear.

That looks really Mean.:D :D
Man I would just grind it the easiest way possiable and keep all the points myself...
