I'm new to this forum and would like to talk to some other tomahawk makers. I'm a blacksmith and hawks are a GROWING sideline. Hopefully I can post a pic of one of my hawks here.

Hi gent's, thanks for the compliments. My hawks start out as old ball pein hammers, 24-36oz. This one here was somewhere's in the middle (28oz I think). The handle is hickory from "House Handles". Not much else to say, I also do poll hawks and both harden and temper the blades and opposite end. Like I said, it's becoming a growing part of my smithing business. Church & Son, I'm headed over to your site after this post.

Church&son, I went to your site and blog....GREAT WORK!! I deal with reenactors some and your stuff is really period correct and pretty to boot. I shoot bp w/ a club, but I don't have a time period I'm partial too, anything cap and ball tickels my fancy, guess that means after 1836.
