My dad made a rack for me to present some of my hawks on.I wanted as rustic as a design as he could make and he delivered in spades.I love the fact he used paper birch for the main parts as paper birch is a true survivors best friend as it provides tinder and in some cases building materials for bushcraft projects.

Enjoy.

ASSHOLE!!

I had my weekened all lined out, but nooo. Now I have to go stomping through the woods in search of wood for a Hawk Rack.

Seriously though, VERY nice. I have been thinking about something like this. Im going to get started on this pretty soon.

GOod job bro!!

Does anyone else here have a hawk rack?

i do, but it ain't purdy.

it's a plastic grid, facing up like a table,

...that has square holes about twice the size of a handle cross-section - it lets me lock the handles in (using gravity, so clamps aren't necessary usually) at different angles while i build the hawks.

sometimes there's a whole pack of hawks in various stages of completion setting there on that rack in the morning - it feels like you have a bunch of meerkats demanding attention.

i'm sending in a complaint to my dad - if he loved me, he'd make me a purdy hawk rack....

:grumpy:
