I made this one a while ago for my Cold Steel Rifleman hawk.
Not sure where I got the idea for using the scraps from another projects to stack a 'welt' for the hawk... at the time it seemed like a good idea...
Wanted something that can be easily worn on the belt and attached to a pack, so went with the 2 D-rings that are spaced to work with molle webbing after belt loop is detached.

If I was to make one similar to this again, aside from welt for the forward portion of the head I wouldn't bother with stacking spacers again.

Please give me your opinions and comments/ideas how to improve the design to be more functional.

Wow that is very well thought out and put together perfectly in my opinion. Great job.

Looks great man,
Functional and tough should deffinatly do its job for a long time.

Hi Eloff, That is a great idea. I am also toying with a concept for my axe and you have given me great direction. You could possibly consider to do away with the rear stacking and make the two sides from one piece of leather by wet molding it to shape.

Regards

James

That's what I was thinking about too, but as I wrote I was making it from smaller pieces of leather and leftovers from other projects.
