What are some of the more obscure/historical materials that you all have heard of going into the manufacture of tomahawks? For instance, the fellow that just posted about the claw hammer hawk said the haft was made from the plank of a hatch cover off of an old ship. I've heard of heads being forged from the steel that surrounded wagon wheels.
Get what I'm looking for? I love how tomahawks are still hand forged the way they use to be, and if the parts that go into the making have a history themselves, well that's even better. So who's 'hawk has a story behind the making?
