Does anyone know if Gavin will release another batch of Talons, or does he do a run and it's done? I know he's working on the scalpel now, and I messaged him through his site, but I was just curious. They are going for $1,500 on a certain website now which is just plain robbery in my opinion.
 
He did the last pre-order in May(?).....there has been no word if/when there will be a new batch to be made. He does the announcements through his website news sign-up.

If you watch here in the FS section you should be able to get one for a fair price ($50 to $200 over table) or possibly even table. You'll have to act quick though.

The days of these selling for $1500 are gone (for now) on the secondary. Places like ACK or R1 might get away with it through their consignments....the buyers are different and I've come to the conclusion are likely not too tech savvy and find those sites a safe place to buy from.
 
Thanks, I appreciate it. I'm signed up and get the newsletter. When the DLC Shortcut dropped I was notified but $625 was too rich for my blood for what it is, but it is nice. I will just wait. It's not like I need another knife right now anyway. If another drop comes by then I'll snatch one, if not no big deal...EDC lifestyle must have literally sold the last one for 1,500 since yesterday as they are all listed sold now. They are new and not consignment so I guess people are still willing to pay $650 over retail.
 
I’m waiting for mine to get delivered, I just paid the final 650 last week, but for the life of me I can’t remember what the initial down payment was? Do you know the table on these? Depending on how well I like it after checking it out, I may end up listing mine possibly.

They sold for $950 I believe the down payment was $300.
 
I think $950 was only on certain configurations, with some others starting closer to 1,100. I managed to snag one at table at Blade Show Atlanta this year, and it's quickly become one of my favorite and most carried. I had wanted the black and blue one, but didn't win the lotto. So I got all black carbon fiber. It's still frigging gorgeous. A discontinued fidgety. It's the most I've ever spent on a knife at 950 cash, and it's not even a lefty!

All this to say, I have less than zero intention of ever selling mine. It's nice enough for me to spend that kind of money on a knife that's not made for my handedness. If you can score one, they're amazing. I would buy another if I could get it at table or close, to add another color. Such good knives!

Yeah, but you may be waiting a while if you didn’t get in early:

We will be handling this drop with a $300 deposit, followed by invoices for the balance when the knives are ready to ship. Invoices will be sent out according to your spot in line, based on overlay option and when you put down your deposit. Shipping is expected to start early October.

Doesn't bother me personally. I got in on the all Ti. This is my second Talon. It'll give me time to save up/put together the other 900 bucks.

This will be my second Talon as well. I got in early on the all Ti (within the first minute or so). What is your order number? Mine is 450x.
