Hawkbill for SD ; opines

What is the opinion of you forum-ites whith regard to
hawkbill knives for self defense ( other than a gun )?
The trend towards the Kerambit has me curious.

What say the augurers?

Actually, the correct term is "augur," as in, seer, prophet, or soothsayer.

However, I have no predictions to make about the future of hawkbill knives as implements for self defense.

The hawkbill seems to me to be alright, but not the best SD blade shape. It can only do small bites, or small slashes.

Where if you have a spearpoint blade you can do more with the stabbing.
