Hi, I finally see the light, hawkbill knives are excellent, I recently purchased the Tasman Salt in Plain edge and the Super Hawk, and the cutting power and the utility of the hawkbill style blade is shockingly good. I have been looking at all the Spyderco and Byrd Hawkbills in a new light.
Still, what I feel is an excellent platform for the hawkbill is a small keychain knife, and the ladybug is an excellent choice.
My two primary critiques are that it is not available in a plain edge, and that for a keychain knife the ladybug is a bit thick, if it was available in stainless steel handles I would be al over this.

Any opinions on the new Ladybug Hawkbill?
Any new Hawks in the works?
Agree or Disagree?

Stainless handles would not give you the same control and grip that FRN provides you. People would complain that their knife got "all scratched up" with SS handles. FRN is super tough, takes a beating, is temperature neutral based on your environment, and has an awesome texture. In my opinion the reason all H1 knives are thick is because that is a work hardened steel. If they were to do a FFG on that knife, the RC would shoot through the roof and the knife would become too brittle to use in various environments. I have the VG10 and H1 hawkbills and I would not change a thing on either, they are designed that way for a reason.

Disagree. Serrated H1 blows plain H1 out of the water in edge retention. Hawkbills are made to make drawing, pull cuts on rope. A serrated hawkbill would be perfect for that. And I greatly prefer FRN to metal handles. G10 would be ok.

I've got both the Ladybug hawkbills, VG-10 sprint and H-1. Of the two, I prefer the H-1. I dislike metal handles in general, and on a knife this small I think it would add weight and remove traction without significantly reducing bulk. I have PE and SE hawkbills, I've carried and used both, and I prefer the SE by far.

Wow, I geuss people really like the serrated Hawks, I might need to reconsider, I actually own a PE Ladybug, don't carry it too much because of the thickness, for about the same size I have a SAK on my keys, and I normally carry a larger knife. But maybe 2 keychain knives are in order
