OK, from the beginning, chime in if you want to. Going force some machinery to do what its not meant to. But it's always been about pushing the limits. The Steel is going to be 3/16ths 1095 the overall length will be about 6 inches. Im thinking Ebony or India Rose wood for the handle. Hopefully finished by the weekend and up for sale on Saturday.

Any of you folks that are looking I really have to buy a new grinder my Baldor 2x48 at 3600 rpm is not going to work for me much longer. It's time to buy a new grinder and I need some real feedback on what type of grinders you use and what you would have if it was a perfect world. The Baldor is going to become a polishing station.

First a pic of the grinder so you know what I'm working with. Then on to the knife.

The pencil drawing is closer to what the final Hawkbill knife will look like.

Ground and the first polishing before heat treatment. The question now is do I put some file work on it? Its got this nice spine to work with.

I like how this turned out. You can actually hold it point down or point up comfortably. Also, something very special going up in a little while.

I don't think you are supposed to do this. I believe it is considered an add.
