Hawkeye Dagger on eBay - fake

I love the “Busse Custom Shop” nylon sheath. They really went all out on that one. I’m guessing if they went so far as to fabricate that tag, that we’ll be seeing more of these pop up in the future.
 
Thanks. I saw it also. I’ve reported these to eBay in the past. If no one else has done this on the “Hawkeye” I can handle it.

I normally don't post stuff like this because there are a lot of "Busse" knives on eBay, but it's less often you see knock off's rather than knives that never existed. Also the fact that it had bids over $100 gives the impression some are falling for it. eBay also has not been doing a good job policing fakes lately.
 
I think the starting price was $113 and some change. It wouldn’t surprise me if they used dummy accounts to place the bids to generate interest. I went back and looked, and eBay recommended some more knives. There was a Busse folder in D2 as well. They didn’t try quite so hard. The country of manufacture is listed as China.
 
Wow, this isn't the only faker either. I searched Busse knives and there's a bunch of ridiculousness going on there. I have to believe though that people are smarter than that, if not, hard lessons are the best learned and remembered.
They really should rename Ebay to "Chinese Forgery Central Featuring Superbly Crafted Garbage" I also see lots of junk from Pakistan is a thing. This kind of s*** really makes you pull your horns in when it comes to even considering buying stuff online of you aren't educated.

There IS a legit Hawkeye Dagger listed, a long blade version... if the bidder on the fake is an actual legit bidder... then that person hasn't checked around.
