I've been working on getting a few hawks together for Blade. This is my favorite. It was hand forged from a piece of W-1 jackhammer bit steel. The head is 9" with just over a 3" cutting edge. I forged a diamond spike on it but it was just to wide so I turned it into an octagon. Its got a curley maple haft. The knife is one I finished up last week. The blade was forged out of a piece of L-6 and its 5 1/4". Wrought iron fiting with a figured piece of maple for the handle. 11" overall.

Very nice set. I would think that that should sell no problem at Blade ...(but since I've never been there I can't really say :))... Are there many hawk maker's displaying wares at Blade usually? And do people 'buy'? ...or do they mostly just 'look', and then basically buy predominately from a few select makers?

This will be my first time doing the Blade Show. I've done a number of other knife shows and there's a very small number of hawks makers. This sounds like a seller's show to me so I'm hoping for the best.

If I went to Blade came away with only that pair, I would still be pretty darned happy. Filed the pic away with my virtual hawk collection.
