Hayes Bowie

Very, I've seen 3-4 (Bowies and big fighters) in total and maybe 20 folders. That being said, the folders bring way more money. The last Bowie I saw was sold about 5 years ago on Ebay, it was sold to Jack Edmondson who does Alamo reenactments, and writes for Blade magazine sometimes. It was somewhat like DE Henry's work in style, with a little more flair.

My mother collected knives back in the 70s before it became such a desired hobby that being said I actually have a Bob Hayes bowie I just could not find anything on him or his knives this 1 has initials on it she told me it was made for some rich guy in California as the handle was made from the antler from a hunt he had been on...my mother passed so I only remember the story and what she paid thanks for the info

If you can find a copy, the Guns and Ammo Guidebook to Knives from 1974 has a 2-3 page story on him -

.

That's about the most I've seen written on him.

Knife Digest 2 by William Cassidy covers the folders a little.

Little more here too - https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/old-time-makers-revisited-bob-hayes.658996/page-2#post-11176063 .
