Hazard 4 Evac Photo Recon bag video review

Thanks for taking the time and sharing. Great designs from that brand.

Hell, ANY hard-use, "tacticool" (NOT military-grade tactical) nylon gear company that can actually create their OWN designs without needing to copy Maxpuditions gets my vote. C'mon! Is there a dearth in creative designers out there with all these Jumbo EDC-clones all over the market?

Sorry, rant off. . .

It's much easier to copy someone else's good idea than it is to come up with their own. but yeah this company is pretty creative, it's another branch of Civilian Labs.

First off I need to preference this by saying that I mean no offence to the OP: a fine job of presenting a piece of equipment that he obviously enjoys owning. That being said, I am a professional photographer with 40+ years of paying the rent pretty much exclusively with my camera, so I know a bit about the nuts & bolts end of things photographic. And this bag, if it is indeed used as a photo equipment bag as described, has to be one of the most useless pieces of photographic gear I have ever seen.

First off, given all the pockets, pouches and dividers, it would be pretty cumbersome, at best, to work out of. I usually need to find what I need right when I need it. Finding a specific item in the bag’s many “hiding places” would be a nightmare in some situations, espically if it had to be set down and turned from side to side to locate the right pocket. And if one zipper was left opened when you flipped it over?

While the bag is quite large, it seems to make the least efficient use of space, so actual carrying capacity is small (compaired that is, to comparable camera bags on the market). I always carry at least 2 cameras and back–up optics. If I was only shooting with short lenses, I could probably get everything into this bag. A single long lens would have to travel someplace else. And it looks like the 2 cameras would have to pack on top of each other; not terribly efficient for getting at them.

I have worked in many places in the world and in lots of them you simple do not carry a large cloth (ie: easily slashed) bag, espically one filled with valuable equipment, slung across your back. At least you don’t if you want to arrive at your destination with everything you started out with.

Finally, that is a very attractive looking bag. Bad guys are gonna be attracted to it in just about any situation. Is that something you also want?

Again, no offense intended, just my .02 worth.

None taken, i'ts good to hear the opinion of a professional photographer on it. I'm an amateur and own two lenses and one body. maybe send this feedback to hazard 4 so they can improve their bag.
