HB AGDOR axe head find

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what I found here. I have a granfors bruks already and when I came across this axe head that says made in Sweden i figured I found something good. I've googled HB AGDOR axes but they all seem to be either blue or not painted.

Any help is appreciated.

It's a Hults Bruk, if you like Swedish axes it is a respected brand.

Correct. 1.3 kilograms is 3 pounds.

Found this axe at a flea market, mint condition. I sent the photo to Hultafors and they said they stopped painting both handles and heads in the early 80s. So that might give you an idea of how old it is. The label is also identical to mine.

You think a 32 inch handle would be good for a 3 lbs head?

I like 28" or 29" handles for 3 lb axes personally.

Yes, I think a 32" handle is perfect. 30" is good, too. But it depends on the user. Personally I wouldn't go shorter than 30".
