Any interest or following associated with HB Forge axes? I have a hatchet I bought a few years ago. I think I bought it after hearing about it on a historical trekkers site. If I remember correctly, at least at the time I bought mine, there was only one guy forging them at their shop. Just wondering what the consensus is regarding quality and usability. I really like the hatchet head, but the handle is too round for my liking. Curious about other’s opinions.

The quality is great, the steel is great. I believe they are focused primarily on throwing, so that explains the round handles.

Great quality products. I have a couple and couldn't be happier with them. They do make a couple light axes as well. You may prefer the handles on those.

Picked up one of there throwing tomahawks and knife years ago...Good quality....

I got a HB ship builders hawk from someone here a few years ago, and the head was great but the hawk handle was frankly stupid for that head. I made a 18" axe handle for it and now it's a fantastic woods tool. And still throws great!

Well it got here this week, so about a 4.5 month wait. I'm very happy with it, can't wait to use it! The handle is a little longer than I'm used to, but I like it.
