STR,
I Really like the" open" knife design and was tink'n-how would the HD look with barrels instead of the back spacer? Steve- what do you think? I might just ask you to do it if you think it'll fly! Thanks.

Well, I'm sure if someone wanted he could do something. I would imagine some pivot barrels cut to the proper length to fit in there would work. They'd have to be cut the same thickness as the spacer currently in there and you'd just have to screw the screws through those instead of the current spacer in there. I did something similar a while back to a JYD I got from Kershaw when I rid it of the rear spacer.

Steve,
If you ever do an open design on a HD-7- I'd like to buy 3 barrels from you to convert my HD. I think that would look cool but also ease the cleaning on the knife. Thanks.

did this ever work out? if it did work or you want to try it out i will mail you more money when my hd-7 is there. i think this is a good idea

Sorry. I will look at that and get back to you. I may be able to come up with something but need to take some measurements to know.

Steve,
One more time. Did you do the barrels for tgiannes on his HD-7? I also like yer new 440-C! Later.
Rolf

There are barrels in there but they go through a spacer in that 440C model if you are referring to the blue one in my signiture.

I'm still looking at alternatives. Give me the rest of today and check back. I have several things going on this morning and can't seem to get to the shop just yet. Well, not to work. I've been getting quotes for a new roof for insurance so that is taking up my time currently.

I thought I answered it. It must have been another thread. I thought Lycosa asked me also and I did tell him the stand off or rear spacer whatever you want to name it is .185 thickness which is far thicker than anything I have access to to use.

Sorry.
