Great forum. This is my first post, though I own a few Emersons (less than I'd like to). Looking at an HD-7. It looks like the black blade is thinner at the tip (less parallel) than the satin on all the pictures I can find on the internet. Am I blind/crazy? Anyone seen both in person to confirm they're the same profile? I'm sure they would be, just wondering prior to ordering. Also, if anyone has good shots of both sides of their HD-7. Trying to decide between black and satin. Thanks!

probably just the coating that is creating that illusion. the ones i have seen had the same grind.

call the shop. they are very helpful.

and welcome to the forums!!!

Your Gonna love the HD. Tell us what you think when you get it. OUT. Lycosa

Thank you all for the help. Still torn between satin and black. Think I'll stay straight blade though.

I've got a black one. love the hd7, the 12 carries better to me. i was at work waving and the blade got a little loss and because it has a short blade(one thats deeper in the pocket ) it got caught up in my pocket." bye bye pants pocket. the most impressive thing to me is the sound of lock up, very impressive.i do like the size of the 12 better.

theres pictures on my space. " www.myspace.com/srtshope"

Thank you. Exactly what I was looking for. Settled me on black with that Ti back. You didn't warn me about the G flag though. Go Vols! (raised in Johnson City, TN).
