I have not been able to find much about this knife around here and was wondering if anybody had it, and what they thought about it. Also does anybody have some comparison picks of it, maybe against the large Grip or 940? I really love the blade length but kinda want to hear some feedback about it first. Thanks everybody.

I like the looks of it. Been waiting for an updated Buck 110-ish style knife for years.

I love the knife...except for the markings, and--more importantly--that the back corner of the handle digs into your palm when you use a "long" grip. Before anyone says anything about my hands being too big or something, let it be known that I take size small gloves (which makes finding good work gloves a b***.) This wouldn't bother me so much if it weren't for the lanyard hole being so darn close to the edge of the knife, so if you ground that corner down you'd end up getting too close to the hole for comfort.

Oh well. It's still a nice knife any way you look at it--just not for me. :o

I prefer the fullsize Hardtail, but I have one of the plastic handled versions of the mini-Hardtail.

I carried the mini-Hardtail for a time and I think it is fine for a smaller EDC, no issues with the handle shape or the craftsmanship, and the blade shape is pretty good.

Mine went into the standby pile as I usually use an M2 Ritter mini-Griptillian for pocket carry and something a bit larger IWB.

Compared to some of the knives I have/had, you could do much worse than a mini-Hardtail for EDC IMO.

Thanks those pages really helped. I think I may have to pick one of these up in the near future to try out.

I just ordered a brand new Mini Hardtail yesterday for myself. I love the look of the engraved skull on the black G10 inserts , satin finish aluminum bolsters and the shape of the nice D2 blade is awesome. I've read nothing but fantastic reviews elsewhere about this knife and I can't wait for mine to arrive. It is to be my new EDC. I'm a Benchmade addict and this sweet new blade will fit the bill nicely.

That's what I thought too. I hated how the mini HD felt. I also thought the exact same thing about the lanyard hole! If it weren't there I would have considered rounding it off. Instead I traded it in and got a BM 710.

Fit and finish on it were great, it was super smooth and razer sharp, it was just the most uncomfortable knife I've ever held.
