I was fortunate to capture the sunrise on Mt Pulag. According to my guide, 60% on the hikers won’t get see this due to bad weather. Here are some interesting pictures I captured along the way.

As a first timer there, the we took the easiest Ambangeg trail to the summit.

Some of the views from the jump off. We hiked 4hr from here to Camp2 where we camped for the night.

The sunset on Camp 2. We slept at 8pm to get ready to assault the summit at 4am. The temperature was under 10C when we started the 2hr assault.

Reached the summit before first light with the HDFK. It was around 5C with fairly light wind when we reached there.

Beautiful views there Don! A 4 hour hike ain't no joke, especially in the mountains like that. The Sunset over the clouds is the most spectacular for me, thanks for taking us along! The knife you have still looks pristine though....time for an intervention! :)

Great pics Don! Thanks for sharing. Looks like a wonderful adventure. I was in Subic Bay Naval Base with the Marines in 1984, and I have visited with my wife several times. She is from Nueva Viscaya, a province about six hours north of a Manila in the mountains. We have been to Baguio, and the Patad Rice Terraces. Beautiful country and good people.:)
