I was fortunate to capture the sunrise on Mt Pulag. According to my guide, 60% on the hikers won’t get see this due to bad weather. Here are some interesting pictures I captured along the way.
As a first timer there, the we took the easiest Ambangeg trail to the summit.
Some of the views from the jump off. We hiked 4hr from here to Camp2 where we camped for the night.
HDFK in the Mossy Forest
The Oldest Mossy Oak tree
The sunset on Camp 2. We slept at 8pm to get ready to assault the summit at 4am. The temperature was under 10C when we started the 2hr assault.
Moon over the Mt Pulag summit on the assault morning.
Reached the summit before first light with the HDFK. It was around 5C with fairly light wind when we reached there.
The first light before the sun raised from the sea of clouds
The sunrise from the sea of clouds
HDFK soaking in the sun on the summit of Mt Pulag
The hike down from the summit
This is definitely a place worth exploring if you guys are in The Philippines.
