my bedroom tv was a cheap 19" that would freeze up once in a while so i wanted a new tv-

i have a panny 32 wide screen tube tv that i thought about moving into my bedroom, but it just so deep it wont fit well(i use the small room as a bedroom and the big one for my stereo and tv)livingroom is for the dog-

so i went looking at 27" lcd's- found a 32" hdtv for the same price at wally world-498$-a emerson, not a great name but i figured i would give it a try at that price-

first off it picked up hd off the cable line,no box,i get fox, abc, cbs and pbs in hd-
the shipping box didnt say what kind of tuner it had so i figured it was a antenna hd one not a cable hd one-it does both unlike my panny-

its ok for standard channels, but also just as good in full mode compared to the standard one with the side box's-7.5-8 on the panny scale

the hd is very good-i consider my panny the best ive ever seen, tubes do it very well, this lcd is a 8-8.5 on the panny scale-:D

sound isnt bad either-

Thanks for the info. We've been waiting to upgrade our TVs until the new HD/digital system is standardized, but they have kept pushing the date back. We are going to need to get a new one for my elderly mother soon, though.
