He drew a deep breath. "Well, I'm back," he said.

Hey gang,
I've been away for 4 years now, thereabouts. I used to be a regular around these forums, but I've been away for so long that I can't even remember what my username used to be. By now I imagine Spark has fed it to the sharks. So, where have I been? Living. Licking my wounds. Rediscovering things I thought I'd lost. Getting new tattoos. Buying new knives and new stuff that yells "Bang!" when you pull the trigger. I'm divorced these days. I'm forty pounds lighter. I have gray hair I didn't used to have. None of you will remember me, but that's cool -- we can all become new old friends. I don't know what caused me to suddenly just come back after being gone so long. Maybe it's because I missed laughing at Whine and Cheese. Maybe it's because I missed talking about the woods with some decent folks. Maybe it's because I missed talking about sharp, pointy, stuff. Whatever the case, I've missed the woods. I've missed the creeks. That is all about to be remedied good and hard.

I took the title of this raggedy hind end post from JRR Tolkien because that's kind of what it felt like after I registered. It felt like I was saying: "Well, I'm back."

Incidentally, "Barry McCockinner" is not my real name. LOL. My real name is Shawn.

Welcome back Shawn. Stick around this time. I understand life changes quite well and get some measure of comfort from the constant found in the comradery and sharing of knowledge and experience here.

Ya know, Spark is from Kentucky and hasn't been seen in awhile, do ya think it's............:D

Welcome back. Now post some pics of the new adventures and we'll post ours. :D

^^ Aren't most of those guys dead now? ^^

I think they all are except for Barbarino, Epstien was 3 years older than me and he grew up in my town and went to my school. He was a Hunkarican like Freddy Prinze. (I'm still short a cup of coffee and I'm looking at the snow outside debating if I need to go anywhere or can I wait for the big guy upstairs who put the stuff here to take it away. :)

Welcome back, and it looks like things are going your way and life is good. It's fun kicking adversity's ass when you can.
