My head says that at age 66 I need to start disposing of my Busse collection because my heirs won't know how to.

My heart replies, "Nooooooooooooooooo!"

At present, heart trumps head. And yes, Progunner, you are still at the top of the iist.

But I will not be buried with my favorite Busse or 1911. That's just ridiculous, and abuse of a good knife and gun.

As long as you're young enough to enjoy your toys, and still sharp enough to appreciate them, keep em.

Once you can't enjoy them anymore, sell them. You know that a non-knife knut wouldn't know the first thing about what they're worth

in your 80's, sell em all, and buy yourself a beach house in florida

Why wouldnt you want a busse at your side if you came back as a zombie? I want to be armed to protect my second life :D

pass on 401k, keep the knives.

Once a year re-appraise your knives for going market value and leave it in a notebook with your collection. If anything should happen your family can get what they are worth and you get to enjoy them till the end.

LMAO... I thought this was going to be a "What is the best way to kill a zombie?" type of thread. :D

Now that's funny :D

But really, zombie's always require a head shot (chop, stab, jab, crush, bash, stomp, hack, smash, slash whatever)

Any of us can be gone at any moment without notice.

Plan your estate.

Live the happiest life you can.

The rest will work itself out...once we pass, our past posessions matter less to us. But can mean so much to those we leave beind. A favorite item that once belonged to you can be very special to someone close to you when your time comes.

Mike

1) I think you're too young to think about that at this time...
2) Proporker is at the top of many lists... ;)
3) Agree, best not to be buried with those toys, as there are those who WOULD show up soon with a shovel... (again, John comes to mind...LOL)

If I ever stop getting the butterfly feeling in my stomach ....I will know it is time to sell them. No matter the age.

But "incase of an untimely departure" I have a few Hogs numbers in the safe for the wife to call to assist her in selling them.

I've often pictured my wife selling my busses at a garage sale for $20 each and my FAL rifles for $100 :(.. Make a pictorial inventory list with what things are worth.. may take some time but its worth it.. then give a copy to someone with some common sense that you trust.

Just needs Busses added to it

66 seems pretty young to start thinking about selling off your stuff, why not just put a line in your will to sell your Busses on the forum? That way you can keep them.
