Well I'm off to New Jersey and New York next week and I need some advice on what knife to carry. I figured I'd take a SAK and attach it to my keys both to help me keep track of the keys and to have a knife that can do a varity of things(or I could keep the Sog Crossgrip on them). I'm also thinking about taking one of my Spyderco's either my Delica or Dragonfly, probably a good idea to leave my Endura behind. I'm leaning toward the Dragonfly because its less imposing. What do you guys think? Also any suggestions on anything else it might be good to carry would be appreciated.

A flashlight's a good idea, even if we tend to light up the night, being insomniacs from living with all the traffic and the noise.

New York City blade limit is under 4". Upstate NY and in NJ is no problem if you're good for NYC.

Enjoy the trip! :)

dont use accents!

they scare us East Coast Northerners!

Esav covers all, as usual.

enjoy your trip!

Don't forget to budget money for being robbed, and for buying the brooklyn bridge...
Expect to have your bags searched when you take the subway and enter crowded tourist attraction. Sometimes the search will be conducted by police officers, sometimes by private security, and occasionally by the crackhead on the corner.
If your luggage is stolen, report it to the police and then immediately head down to Broadway, just north of Canal Street. Your belongings will be laid out on the street for sale. You can buy most of your stuff back for pennies on the dollar. You can talk them down a few dollars by looking at the stuff really intently and then suddenly looking up and around, and saying... "Wait, I think the cops are coming, I'll give you ten bucks for all of it before they get here".

The women standing on Fourteenth Street and Ninth Avenue are men, and the Men hanging out on Christopher Street are women...

Keep all this in mind and you'll be fine.
