Headed to SHOT Show in the AM....

Hey All....

I know I just showed up from a too long absence, the mid winter blahs have had me by the throat, but I will be posting a bunch on my return.....

SHOT Show is gonna be a BIG time for me this year.....Ka-Bar is introducing three new blades and reintroducing the Machax.....Proud poppa that I am, I say......YEAH, WOOHOO, etc.......Also I am doing a kitchen knife project with Mike and Jeff at ESSE.....These blades have been in prototype since Cammillus days and it is exciting to get them off the ground........

I hope to see a proto of a shoulder bag (another ESSE project) that has been gestating for a VERY long time....Since my caving days thirty years ago........I have had a serious bag problem for a looooong time......This bag will be an interesting addition to the BK&T line and I will post pics as soon as I can.......

If you are at SHOT please come by and visit .......I will Mostly be at Ka-Bar with the balance of the time either at ESSE or drooling on new toys......If you want to know how to spend a million or so go to SHOT ....It is EASY.....

I for one am very excited to see as many pics and videos as possible. The bag proto sounds very interesting as well.


As for the Moose corral... from what I understand it's simply a chalk outline with a full barrel of Jack Daniels and a Machax in the middle. The key is making sure they're both securely anchored in place. Can't imagine he'll get more than arms length from it

I ALWAYS have a good time at SHOT.....There are a bunch of people I have known almost Thirty years that I only get to see at SHOT or Blade Show........And of course the place is the world's greatest toy emporium....Knives, Guns, Scopes, Binos, Stocks, GPS' and Survival gear and the list goes on and on and on and on......A gear freak's heaven and it IS true that someone once referred to me as a trifle gear freaky!!!!!!.....btw my second wife on, arriving at my place, thought that she was moving into the untidy back room of an army surplus store.....Good lady...She stuck around for seven years(actually it took her that long to find her way outta the pile).....

Had a hell of a time hanging out with him at the knife show in Atlanta a few years back. Good food good drinks great conversation.
Looking forward to the next gathering so I can say the same about you !

Turned my Sporting Goods VP on to the Becker line on his last visit. He runs 129 stores in the PNW. He should be stopping by to see you...he needs to carry the whole line!!! Can't miss him 6"4" and a smile you can't miss...
