Hey to everybody out there and to Will. I found out that Will doesn't live too far from me, so it's good to know that fellow knife lovers abound in this area. In a couple of weeks, Terrill Hoffman is going to be hosting a few people that want to come up and put some of their "skills" to the test. I'll be heading up there with him, and I'm going to take a few blades along and give them a real workout.

I don't get to post much on the forums, but I do read as much as I can. I have to say that I have been very impressed with the Becker knives that I have purchased and used. I don't think there's a better set of blades out there for the money. I have the Campanion, the Brute, and then the Patrol Machete. Unfortunately, I haven't had much chance to use the machete as it stands out a little too much with the "Caramel Latte" crowd around here that goes on hikes and overnights. I usually stick to shorter blades that are a a little more PC and don't scare the natives so much.

However, being a budding photographer myself, I fully intend to give my prized Patrol Machete a thorough workout for a few days and then maybe post a few pictures of what we accomlished. In fact, I hope to do this with several blades. I welcome anyone that wants to join us on the weekend of the 5th in the western part of NC to camp out, have a little fellowship and abuse our pets (the knives I mean).

Just thought I'd throw that out there for everyone. If you'd like to go out there, you can email me at tlucas1@carolina.rr.com It should be fun and I fully intend to put these great Becker Blades to the test!!
