Heading to Orlando Florida (Disney world) then Fort Myers on a family vacation in a month. I have never been to Florida. Is there a must see kind of place, I don't want to miss, be it outdoor park, waterfall, scenic lookout, specialized knife shop. Hell I don't know, but I would hate to get back and find out I was ten miles from some cool landmark or huge knife store and never knew it. Anyone who's been in those areas and has any advise on what not to miss, it would be appreciated.
Not sure how much free time we will have, as our schedule is full ( I hate scheduled events) but none the less if there is something cool, I'll try and make time for it. Thanks in advance.

The Randall factory is located about 20 minutes from Disney. They have a small museum area with thousands of knives on display. Very nice people too!

If you like music, Pat O' Brien's pub is nice and so is Howl at the Moon. No knives at either of those places though...

Don't know how old the kids are, but I lived in Orlando for quite a few years, and there are countless cool attractions. Hard Rock Cafe is fit for adults and kids, Universal Studios, and Wet n' Wild for the younguns are all in the same area off International Drive. The Bay Hill golf course is right there too if you play. The most beautiful parts of Florida are off the beaten path and away from the concrete jungle, however, and most vacationers never see them. But you could spend years in Orlando and not experience everything; so have a blast and hope you have a good trip.

Oh, and if you get some time just for the adults, House of Blues isn't far... just a few exits (miles) down I-4 to Lake Buena Vista.

Visit Gatorama!

+1 on the Randall Shop. Great guys there that will let you browse the museum for as long as you like, and there is a lot to see packed into a few small rooms. They are in the process of relocating the museum this summer to Bo Randall's old house on the same property. Might be worth a call before you go to see what stage the transition is in. Would be a bummer if most of the knives are not on display. Good luck and have fun in FL!

If you make the drive up to St. Augustine, you might be able to connect with Arizona Custom Knives. They don't have a retail store, but might be worth a phone call to see if you could view their operation/inventory.

Corkscrew Swamp near Naples. Run by the National Audubon Society. Great place for viewing wildlife.

Thanks everyone for the Ideas. Hopefully I have time to see some of these, Castillo de San Marcos National Monument looks cool, Randall factory would be neat, and of course seeing some Gators.

Thanks again for the suggestions.
