So I just lost my Apple EarPods and it is time for a replacement. I have some Shure SE215LTDs but I don't use them because they are just too unwieldy. I liked the EarPpds because they let some sound in but also isolated a little because of the shape.

I might just buy a new pair, but I also like the Bose headphones (MiE2, SiE2, Freestyle). They are designed like an upgraded EarPod meaning that they don't isolate completely and directly project sound into the ear canal.

Does anybody have some Bose headphones? If so, how do they compare with the sound isolation of ear buds? And lastly, how is the bass response? I know these aren't bass head headphones, but I listen to lots of rap so bass is kinda important. The EarPods did just fine in this category for me.

Thanks!

P.S. - I am also thinking about the Klipsch S4 models so any opinions on these are also welcome.

I like these little kick-butt headphones:

GET THOSE MONSTROSOTIES OUT OF HERE!!!

Haha, but really, I've looked at the PortaPros before back when I got my Shures. I fiddled with the idea of getting some over or on ears but I just like to throw some headphones in my pocket, which means IEMs only pretty much.

I don't know if you can make them compatible or not but I finally broke down and bought a pair of wireless bluetooth headphones and don't know what the heck I've been doing with wired headphones all these years. I feel like I have been using those monstrosities up there all this time.

I had a pair of cheapo Bluetooths a little while ago and was seriously considering getting a pair of Jaybird Bluebuds but I like the simplicity of plug and go. Sometimes I would have trouble with my phone and the headset not pairing and then there was the whole "range anxiety" thing about the battery. What pair do you have?

I tried, and was pleasantly surprised by, some $6 Panasonic headphones from Amazon. The sound is quite good and they are cheap enough so I bought several pairs. I keep a set at work, in my gym back, in my nightstand, etc. They come with 3 sizes of inserts, and do a decent job of noise isolation.

They are made by Planatronics, the sound and battery are okay especially for the price.
