Well the set of headphones I use for my computer just died. I can no longer get any sound out of the right ear. They're 3 years old and took a beating so time for some new ones. I use mine mostly for gaming so any suggestions for good headphones in the 50-60 dollar range?

I've been looking at some of those 5.1 surround headphones lately - for gaming, since I can't fit in that amount of speakers here. Some of these have surprisingly had good reviews. Can't remember the brands off the top of my head... Should be in about that price range (and up).

I use the Plantronics DSP 500. That's a little out of your price range (about 75 bucks) but they make a variety of units in different price ranges.

The DSP series has it's own in-line "Sound Card", which provides excellent and very directional audio even without 5.1 surround. I have no problem figuring out which way my enemies are coming from.

clicky

You will not regret buying this headphone. Best sound quality for the $$. Its the over ear style, which should be perfect for gaming and also really good for muzak.

edit: reading comprehension

I won't argue that the Grado SR-60 are some great phones, cause I had a pair and loved them. I would just question if they really are all that great for gaming. I would think that some of the surround sound type phones might have an edge on them if you like games that use that technology.
