I've been using my Zune headphones daily for ages but the left earbud no longer produces sound and I need a new pair. Any ideas? I prefer in ear ones that are noise cancelling.

I guess the price range would be under 30 I got my last pair of Zune headphones for 20 and they have done great.

I would check the Sony line. Go to Best Buy and take your player with you, they have a return policy that allows you to buy a set, go to your car, try them out and then return them right away :D. Just make sure they still allow this.
The other reason I suggest this is because of the amp of your player, some players don't pump out enough power (or they put out to much power) for the headphone/ear bud.

I would suggest the Sony MDR-EX85LP, they are around $50 and will blow away your Zune buds. Definitely worth the extra money, I will guarantee that you will be very impressed with them.

Hmm how durable are these headphones I use my Zunes every day and they get moved around quite a bit. How will the sonys stand up?

I'm not sure. I have no experience with rough use. I never listen to music while doing something else.
If your looking for something to use during work outs, look at sport models.
In general ear buds are something you need to stick in your ear and decide what's best suited for your needs and wants. It took me a while to find a set that was comfortable and has great sound.

I havn't used for workouts yet but I do ride the bus and prefer not to listen to people talking. I cannot find a place that sells the Zune ones with cloth cable for like less then $60 I paid $20 for my last pair :[

The ones I suggested are good to go as far as sitting on the bus is concerned. I bought them when they were the top of the line Sony ear bud, that was about 3 years ago, still kickin' hard.

I always find a way to lose or ruin earbuds, so i usually stick with the normal skull candy buds. They work great and are about $20. Ive had a few pairs and have been happy with them every time (until i lose them or my dogs chew them up)

The Skullcandy Ink'd are cheap and sound pretty good. They're about $15, check your Sunday ads and you should find somewhere advertising them cheap. I've listened from $15 to $150 pairs of headphones, and the Skullcandy Ink'd are my favorite because they're cheap to replace and sound good enough for most of the population. They're pretty durable too.

I really like my Maximo iM590 in-ear phones. They’re a little more expensive though at just under $50 most places. Some reviewers have reported durability issues with the fabric cabling, but I haven’t had a problem. They block outside noise well (especially with replacement foam tips) and sound great.

how about the skullcandy smokin buds? they are around $25 at bestbuy, and I believe have a fabric coated cable. Personally though, I use sony studio moniter headphones that are over the ear. better base from those IMO.

I havn't seen a pair of the Smokin' Buds but they look nice do they have good bass? Also I havn't see anything about if they have a fabric cable.

Personally, I would consider any 'phones in the $20-30 range to be pretty much disposable. I would also consider anything in that price range pertty much interchangable so just pick a pretty color. If you want actual high quality 'phones that will last I would expect to pay $80-100 or more with the best running as much as $200+.

YMMV but generally you get what you pay for. ;)

I actaully looked at the Skull Candy Titan and I really like it. I just don't know of any online places that sell headphones.

I like SkullCandy; they sound good and cost <$15.

+1
I picked up a set of these a while back and they are great. Ample cord length, multiple ear pieces for better fit, and the price. Sometimes less is actually more. I just cannot see spending upwards for $30 to $300 for that kind of thing these days.
