Very nice, Sarge.

(Though, for a minute, I was thinking: Is that a ninja in the mirror?!)

:D

Does me good. I was just put on a bland food diet today (virus) for 3 weeks, so it's nice to have something to look forward to!

Sorry to hear that John. Those peppers from the garden Sarge? Them look yummy. I like growing peppers. They're so colorful out in the garden.

Um, John? Ninjas don't cast reflections. I thought everyone knew that:rolleyes: :D
Hang tough, friend:)

Jake

Jake,

No, those are vampires. Ninjas don't cast shadows in the dark. ;)

And yes, I'm alive. Wasn't me that got hit today. :(

I thought ninjas cast aspersions?

Medical ninjas cast aspirinsions?

Cleopatras cast aspsions?

Get well soon. Then hunker down for "Texas Mild" seasoning. That Sarge is not a bad guy, you know?

wacherass.

I'm reading that to mean that someone did John? Sorry to hear that sir. Prayers from Atlanta for you and your comrads.

Several of my guys came down with what we called the "Taliban Two Step", the obvious symptoms of which, I need not go into. If that's the manner of your affliction, be extra vigilant with your hydration, and understand you'll need more rest than usual.

Them peppers is just about fully ripened and ready to have their seeds harvested, so won't be long on getting some to you. That dried, leafy stuff in the pic ain't for you, it's skull cap, makes an interesting tonic. ;) I assume you're going to try a container garden setup next to your hooch. I've found that a five gallon bucket will support four full grown pepper plants, but that's the upper end limit due to crowding of foliage. Three or four five gallon buckets or cans with the tops cut out ought to do the trick. If buckets are in short supply (we closely guarded ours, they were all we had for washing our clothes), check with the mess sergeant, etc., some foodstuffs come in big honking cans that ought to work just fine.
I saw garden plots in Kabul, and out in the villages, so I don't think getting some good soil will be a problem. Still, gotta be careful even with that. Had some Brit Royal Marines found out the hard way about eating local produce ("we just wanted some fresh veg mate"), whole section had to temporarily stand down as Non-Mission-Capable, due to, you guessed it, the Taliban Two Step. :p :D

Andy,

There was an IED here in Kabul yesterday morning. I can probably get pics of the damage, but I won't post them on a public forum. :(

Sarge, I've had the symptoms of diarrhea, but without the diarrhea. Anyway, it's nice not to be in pain.

It's easy to forget how good we usually feel, until we feel bad. Then, just being "normal" feels so good, you know?

There's an old bluegrass song that cracks me up everytime I hear it. The title, no kidding, is. It felt so good, when it stopped hurtin':D

If you can get them, I'd like to add them to my collection of non-public pics. My email is: heavyhaul(nospam)gmail.com. Replace the (nospam) with @
Watchyourass over there bud, them people don't like us much. As to the symptoms but no squirts, that sounds like you grabbed a bad bottle of water. Happened to me a couple of times in Iraq. Both times it happened the medics had recalled a batch of water. Unfortunatly the recall was after I'd drank the stuff. Make friends with the medical staff. They get warnings a couple days before the grunts do on lots of interesting things. And it never hurts to have friends that have life saving skills. :D:D;)

I'll see what I can do, Sarn't.

The TMC doc said, "If you eat at the KBR DFAC, you will eventually get a virus."

Sarge ? I thought your pic meant you were cooking up something hot for Spectre and it was going to be a real bell ringer . L:O:L

I knew them to be high in vitamin C as well as supposedly making the body an uncomfortable place for unwelcome visitors . I didn,t know you could put four plants in the same five gallon bucket ? I thought that many root systems would fight each other in such a small place .

My Italian neighbor gave me a pot full of red chili peppers which flavored my chili and spaghetti creations all winter . He now has some purple peppers which both intrigue and scare me all ar the same time .

To my knowledge, there aren't any purple peppers that will seriously hurt you. Don't be scurred. ;)
