Seeing Mrs.Shotgunner's pics of her shelter gave me an idea. I noticed that a key component of her shelter was some rope she scavenged, which would have been a little bit harder to make if she didn't find some.

I wear a para-cord bracelet for three reasons, 1. I like the looks of it, 2. I always have 6 feet of parachute cord on me and the parachute cord contains 7 nylons strands, and 3. the chicks dig it :D. So I decided to give back to the RAT sub-forum a little bit by giving away a parachute-cord bracelet, now I have some final exams all this week and I'm heading out to the beach on Saturday to spend a week so the give away wont be for some time, this is just a heads up. Also I don't know how I'm going to do the give away... poll, random number, small project, guess something, or maybe just who offers the best bribe. Here is a pic of some of my bracelets below, it is just a simple cobra stitch knot.

(Just kidding about the bribes ;), oh and someone remind me about this contest, I sometimes forget things)

Ouch, I was waiting for the your a knotty boy comment from you but that will suffice :D. Also the bracelet is a conversation starter and some have asked me to make them one, (which I was just finishing one up while looking at your pics and the light bulb came on).

As for the key chain, there is a bobber and some sinkers in the middle of it but unless I'm starving there's no way I'm undoing just to fish. It was too hard to make once.

Edit: I have also received the comment, "Dude why are you wearing that gay bracelet it looks like a scrunchy"

Very Cool! I like the round object with the key ring, looks like a beach ball kinda. I have tried to make one but was unable. They all look great. Im lucky to be able to tie my own shoelaces.

I don't sport the bracelets as a fashion statement, I use them to carry extra cordage around, making it extremely "not gay".;)

Cool giveaway Baller.

That sweet man. Way to hook people up. I wear a 550 braclet pretty much 24-7. My daughter keeps taking mine off everytime I pick her up from daycare so the other day I ordered 100 ft each of pink and purple to make her some, but I thought I would hook you up on a little trick. Double the cord up. This is the only multi color braclet I have that shows it well, but if you make the braclet the way you show, then just use the same piece of a little over twice as long cord, just start the knot over moving back up the braclet. Does not make it too big, but adds twice the lenght for avilable cord. I made some for me and other military buds in orange, foliage, multicam, desert tan, black, OD, and one guy bought some black with glow in the dark strands????? Okay I thought, but built it for him.

I also did the same thing to my max jumbos weapon retention pouch. That little drawstring would be IMPOSSIBLE to find if I need it in a rush. Viola... a 6 is grip and monkey ball.... everyone comments on the bag and or braclet when they see them.

very nice! I've really been wanting to find the time to learn to make a paracord sling for my shottie.
