Hello all,
I'm in the process of selecting hearing aids, and thought I would post here so that others could share their experiences. I'm a lifelong hearing-impaired person, and was recently diagnosed as being 66% impaired -- primarily due to my upper end hearing loss (starting at above 1 KHz, and plateauing at about 90 dBHL). My lower-end hearing loss is not quite so dramatic (about 40-50 dBHL).
At any rate, I'm looking at picking up a pair of behind-the-ear aids since it seems that I can get the most features in this form factor as well as a response profile that matches my hearing loss. In particular, I am investigating the Phonak Savia model, as well as the Siemens Acuris models.
Other hearing-impaired people here? What brand of hearing aids do you own? What problems have you experienced?
Thanks,
Matthew
