Lynn,

I will be there set up once again as I was last time. I will be closer to the door this time for those who stopped by and chatted at the last show. I look forward to seeing everyone again. We had a very decent showing of fourmites there last time and hope to see a very good showing this time as well. Also if anyone has something they would like to try and sell while they are there I have space on the table so bring your item along and feel free to put it out on my table. How many folks are planning on going? From what I hear they were will be more makers there this time. Are any other makers or dealers from the forums going to be there?

Regards,

Tom Carey

As we are on the border (KS & MO), we'll see at lease one show (combined with guns), one in Overland Park and one in Kansas City. The Kansas City one draws a lot of traffic. Earlier this year there were a lot of dealers of knives &(about 10 makers). I would think that a man of your reputation would be welcomed at this "frontier". The Kansas show draws moderately well (also coupled with guns), not so many knife makers though. Not that we don't buy on the Kansas side, but knife dealers with autos can't sell in Kansas (only in MO) on this side of the border.

Lynn:

I would think if you needed an input from a dealer in this part of the country--Jackyl would the best bet.--Dan

I will be there. I have been to the last two shows. A lot of nice knives and good people. I met some folks from the forums who were eager to show a "new guy" around.

Thanks Tom

Hi guys,
This will be the first knife show for me! Does anyone have the actual address for the show, and maybe some directions from south of St. Louis. I'll be coming north on I-55. Thanks in advance.

GC,

Lile Knives had address for a previous show. It was at the American Legion, 2500 Raymond St. Use Mapquest or similar for directions.

I will be at the show in St. Louis, and look forward to meeting some of you people besides Tom and Lynn( who I have known for a long time). Bring lots of knife goodies and lets drool over all them together.

Danbo,
I look forward to getting to visit with you some more. Even though I have been to this show a few times before, this will be my first time there, for a December show. Working very hard to get ready for it. This will be my last knife show of the Millenium. I expect it to be a great one.

PS, I am looking forward to meeting as many forum members as possible too.

See you in St. Charles,

I have decided to hold a drawing for a nice custom knife. The knife is made by Burr Oak knives and features a 52100 blade, Sambar Stag scales and a very well made leather sheath. This time it will be $1.00 per ticket or 6 tickets for $5.00. The knife can be seen by going to this url. My scan of the knife does not do it justice.

I hope this brings out some of our lurkers. I have also heard Paul Basch will be there representing AG Russell Knives. To all who have not attended the show in the past I would ask that you consider checking it out. The quality and variety of knives there grows with each show. At the last show two of the finest makers from Australia were there. Not bad for a small show in my view.

Tom,
That is a sweet looking knife! Is attendance at the show necessary to enter the raffle or is it open to BF members in general?

Tom`s right about this show.It may be small but there is always a good showing of custom makers there.Forumites in the St.Louis area are missing out,big time,if they skip this show.

Because of the difficulty in raffling a knife with funds that are sent in. I plan to sell tickets to my customers localy and to anyone that feels lucky at the show.

That has to improve everyone's odds!
