hello all,
I finished this fighter yesterday.
Blade is from Finn Hampenberg, Danmark, steel D2.
OAL 11.4, blade 6.7.
Amboinaburl, buffalo horn, and rek.Lapis.

Keith, I think you mean the buffalo part. No, it's even, the light does it.

What I am referring to is on the blade. On the ricasso and about 1/2" in from the right edge of the photo, on the flat surface near the top of the blade, there appear to be scratches.
 
Yes, Keith, you're right.
It was sanded by the maker with 600 grit.
I found some scratches, and rubbed it also with the same grit.
There are some left, because I've done it by Hand.
I think, I will go for it once more.
