I decided to flame anodize my Spyderhawks clip after I realized it was Titanium (yah I know Im a little late to that party) :D

Anyways I think it turned out great and brought new life to one of my users

let me know what you guys think.

That looks just awesome! I may have to buy one of these just to copy you :D I wish I could do that to my regular stainless clips.

you can get some color on stainless clips but not nearly as vibrant as Titanium And thank you

Pretty damn nice...

It really gives the knife a new character, I cant wait to get some more titanium and mess around with more heat anodizing.

Imo its more durable than electro-anodizing as well.(Doesnt scratch as easily).

Thanks for the compliment.

Interesting...never thought about that...makes sense, from a corrosion perspective. Nice attention to detail from Spyderco, not seen on all "water" folders... :(

spyderco really impresses me, they have great products. :)

thanks to everyone who has commented, I will say if you do decide to do this, make sure the clip is completely degreased (usually with windex) before heating. If its not the anodizing will look sloppy and run like crazy.

good luck to everyone!
