hey all!

So I want to try heat anodonizing and I've only heard of people doing it to titanium... can it be done with aluminum? If so which tutorials accurately describe how to do it and the process and steps involved? And if it matters at all I want to do it on an aluminum pen...

Thx in advance y'all
James W.

I've since been told it does not work with aluminum.... what are some other options besides of course traditional anodizing with chemicals and power?

Heat coloring (anodizing involves electricity) does NOT work on aluminum, sorry.

The only way to color aluminum is anodizing, and the colors are dyed in. It's a lot more involved than titanium anodizing which is why I only do titanium. There's tutorials out there, but be aware it also involves some pretty harsh chemicals.
