Heat Coloring Pocket Clip

Is it possible to heat color the pocket clip on my Leek? Is it even possible to do since the clip isn't titanium? I was hoping to do something like this:

I tried to heat color some screws the other days, but it really didn't work. Maybe I should try using a butane torch instead.

I tried it and it didn't work very well. It just turned kind of burnt brown, not vibrant colors like in the video. I think titanium is probably the best. I also saw somewhere said that stainless steel doesn't work very well. YMMV
