heat gun for thumb ramp on kydex

Most of the really popular brands of women's hairdryers are 1875 watts. They get plenty hot for flash drying leather, but I don't know if they would soften kydex. I really doubt that only 300 watts would do much of a job.

Thought that was low. Thanks

I have this one. It is fairly old now but is totally great; very adjustable from warm breath all the way up to hot enough to solder copper. I have pushed KreyEx around using it. Up past about the forth setting the surface starts to look shiny . . . not good . . . bellow that though is good.
Can put various nozzles on the front to direct the heat where you want it.

Spend a couple extra and get a heatgun that comes with the funneling cones..

A hair dryer can heat kydex enough in a small area, its worked for me when I didn't have my heatgun on me.
