Hey Guys,
I'm just so confused on the length of the coils I need make. This is what calculates out.
I bought some 22 gauge wire after watching a video on youtube and wound it but now looking into it more everyone's using like 16 gauge. Should I stick with the 22?
I want to run a coil on each side and connect them in series. So I guess what I would think to do is ohm out to half of 23.04. and put a cable with 11.52 ohms on each side? Just stretch it to what it has to be from there?
Sorry maybe i'm over thinking this..
Kanthal Calculator
Input Data into the Yellow Boxes, Output results are in the blue boxes
WIRE
Diameter (inches) 0.0254
Resistance Per Foot (Ohms) 1.31
COIL
Mandrel Diameter 0.375
POWER
How many volts are you using? 240
How many watts do you want? 2500
You'll need this many amps: 10.41666667
You want this many Ohms: 23.04
Length of wire needed: 17.58778626
# of Coils 167.7832059
Length of Coil at wind size: 4.261693429
