Heat Treat Oven

That is an impressive build. Kudos on moving the controller and SSRs off the kiln cabinet.

Only thing I spot is the handle should be vertical when closed (parallel with the door). As it is, you have to reach past the hot oven to open or close it. Not safe at all.

Thx for the comments. I see what your saying. It wouldn't take much to fix that handle in the vertical postion.

Why the 3 thermocouples? They all seem to be at same level near the top, so it's hard to see how they'd improve the control without understanding how they are dealt with by the controller.

The TAP controller will read the temperature in all three zones and will regulate accordingly.

Can you explain that ? If TAP read that in a front side/door side temp. is lower TAP would do what ?
I'm no expert on on the TAP. But give me a couple months to figure it out or you could call SDS Industries they might be able to give you a technical answer. I'm actually still having technical difficulties just getting the touchscreen to respond. But I've heard so many good things about them and their capabilities that I'm thinking I might of got a defective unit. I will know more on Monday.

Here are some build pics. I have 2" of ceramic fiberboard on bottom af 1" ceramic blanket on the sides and top
