Evening gents and gals. First off, I'm still very green at all this but I gotta say you all were right, it gets in your blood. My garage is now known as Grinderville and I love GRINDING. I still have a lot to learn and that's what I am looking forward to. I've got 8 blades that are ready for heat treat and wanted to know if you all have any recommendations as to where I should send them. I've heard good things about Paul Bos in Post Falls ID but I just wanted to throw it out there in case there are other options. I live in FLA (Florida, Lower Alabama) about 25 miles straight East of Pensacola. Thanks again for everything you all have done for me. Toodles.

8 blades? You told me 7.......oh yeah, that email is a few days old.

I just remembered this. While talking to an older gentleman that is a machinist up in crestview, he mentioned getting something heat treated in pensacola once before. I asked him where, but he couldn't remember who it was. I haven't looked into it any further, but I will.

Ps, got a bunch of charcoal

Yeah, I fixed the Wharncliff I dropped. Started on my tenth one tonight. There has got to be someone closer with heat
treat capability. Its just finding them. What about a surgical sterilization oven?

I sent my S30V to Texas Knifemakers Supply in Houston and had good results every time.I would go for known to be good, rather than close.

Hey and Houston is only ten hours away as far as that goes( don't know what that has to do with anything) but just stating a fact!

And besides they are good folks to work with! I recently placed and order with them about the time their website went down. They called to let me know that the money had come thru on paypal but no order. Come to find out I was the one that notified them that there domain was up for sale. Seems someone forgot to pay the renewal fee!:D

They bent over backward to help me out with the order and after a few calls back and forth I felt like I had meant old friends!
