Some of the web info I have found seems inconsistant.
Does a knifemaker here have spec sheets on different blade steels and heat treating them for knife purposes?
Brian, I have several from the ASM manual that are in Word format. I can send you them if needed. I have found that Crucible's is pretty close to the ASM recommendations and works fine for the steels I use.

I got your mail but I'll post it here.
what I have is one I got from TKS some time back
it was faxed to me and is on thermo paper so it's not a good copy to send other than copying it and sending it by mail.
it has times for 2 harnesses with temps and temps and times for spring tempers. I will tell you I have ventured off from some of these specs to
adapt to my ovens..
Brian that's the fun part about HTing. Experiment to see what works best with the equipment you're using. The data is just a basic info to follow.
