i'd like to complement Rob Simoich on his heat treating, he treated my 440c, and o-1 blades, so far i've only tested the heat treatment on the stainless one, i chopped through a 2x4 and it would still shave hair, no chips, rolled edges or flat spots occured.
it was no small knife either, a 14" bowie. i would recommend him as a heat treater to any knifemaker beginning or proffesional. thanks rob

Magnum 44, did you remember the name of the knifemaker who made the flexible blades with super sharpness that would cut an anvil? That is exactly what I am looking for to fill a special need.

no problem, rob. and parabellum, i'm trying to find his web site. his knives are made of "cmt" chromium, molybdenum, tungsten. i'll get back to you when i find it.
