So, I received my Recon1 from knifeworks about a week ago. I went to take it apart today to clean it up, since it was kinda gritty from break in, and all of the body screws stripped. I used the same Wiha torx bit that I've used on my spydercos with no problem. I called customer service and told them the issue. I was advised to send it in with a note and they would look at it. I will be sending it out UPS on Wed 5/14 and I'm curious to see how customer service deals with this. I've had plenty of CS knives in the past and this is the first one I've had any type of issue with, minus breaking the molded clip off of my original Voyager. I'll keep this updated, if anyone is interested.

Please do update. I haven't had any issues with CS screws before, except the time I mistakenly used a T9 instead of a T10 on a Voyager pivot and did some minor damage to the socket. :o:D I have noticed that because Wiha drivers/bits are very precise they can be rather tight in certain screw heads, sometimes resulting in them not fully seating in the socket without some pressure or a tap of a screwdriver handle or similar. Not saying this happened in your case, only that it's something to consider and look at. I haven't adjusted anything recently on a CS folder, and I don't recall if I've had this problem with any CS screws specifically. I did have this issue with a Chinese Kershaw (Asset) recently, resulting in one partially damaged screw head, but I caught it in time to save the rest.

I'm waiting for my Rajah 3 to be repaired and returned from customer service. I mailed it to them on March 18 and they got it a few days later. Long wait for them to fix a defect. I called a couple weeks ago and was told "any day now."

I received my knife back from Cold Steel today. They replaced it with a new one. Good show, Cold Steel.
