as the subject states i'm lookin for a hea treater that can heat treat m-42, i'm gonna buy some bar- stock and turn it into a knife.
 
Contact Eastern Tool Steel Service at (814) 834-7224. They sell and also heat treat m-42 along with many other grades of steel.
 
wow, thanks max, you've been a big help with my search for a steel that will hold an edge forever, and cut through materials that are harder than what the average knife would be used for. thanks
