Heat treating D-2???????

I have a couple knives that I have just finished made out of D-2.

Can someone tell me the heat treating/tempering temps for D-2?

Hey there Rick.This is what I have in my book -
Forging temp - 1850-2000F
Hardening - 1800-1875F - pre-heat to 1450 and hold for 30 min., then ramp to quench temp. and hold for 15 min.
Quench in air
Temper - 400-1000F (if I remember right use 500-550F)

For blade use I think D2 likes it at about 60 - 61 HRc. I try to hit that in my HT of D2. Anyhow, you have spec sheets coming and they may confirm that.
