Side by side comparison of Paragon and Evenheat ovens. Virtually the same but Evenheat has a significantly larger interior for the same price as Paragon. How do the two compare for quality and is there a type that more knife makers prefer ??

Thanks again!

I've never owned a Paragon, but I have an Evenheat. I opted for the more expensive controller which is a nice luxury. Either one will get the job done. I believe the Paragon is built a little heavier than the Evenheat and doesn't get quite as hot on the skin of the oven. I know people who are satisfied either way, and I know there a couple of makers on here who have both who can chime in. The good news is that you can't go wrong either way.

The Evenheat KF-27 with rampmaster control to the Pargon D-24

Your right Silver I believe its kind of like comparing apples and oranges I just want to make sure.

I have an Evenheat knife kiln, small table top model (KF 13.5). I got the simpler Set-Pro control, did not need the advanced features of the Rampmaster. About a year old or more, love it!

My Paragon has been working very well for years and never a problem. You can't beat reliability over the long run.

I have a programmable 27" EvenHeat.

It's been a great oven. Heats quickly and zero issues.

I chose the EvenHeat because of the price to size ratio. I've been very pleased with it.

Whichever brand you decide to buy, the programmable controller is worth the extra expense.

I have the 14" paragon oven with the programmable controller and haven't had any problems with it. Used it for 3 years and then had it stored for 5 and it never missed a beat when I plugged it back in...knock on wood.

I can still reach 1975 in an hour with my original elements in my 18" evenheat--- 13 years old.
Ken.

I had a Paragon and did not like it one bit chamber was to small and it was the 24" so I bought a evenheat and it is like night and day. Even heat all the way!
